It all started in 2006 in a tiny office in Mahebourg under the name of Blue Bay Properties and with a team of two people. And this says something about us, since those two are still working in our real estate agencies.

As we've always worked with passion, organization and autonomy, Blue Bay Properties has grown and developed. We changed our name to ILOA as business grew in the Grand Bay area, a natural evolution in the real estate industry.

2014 - Acquisition of the BARNES International Realty license
Towards international excellence...
In 2014, BARNES International was looking for the ideal person to establish its name in Mauritius. ILOA was chosen, and the first office under the new BARNES Mauritius brand was opened in March 2015 in Grand Baie.

From 2015 onwards, BARNES Mauritius underwent a dynamic expansion phase. The opening of BARNES Grand Baie in March of that year was a crucial moment, consolidating its position on the north coast of Mauritius, a region known for its tourist appeal and real estate development.
2017 - Opening of BARNES Tamarin agency
An expanded presence...
In 2017, BARNES Tamarin was the next branch to open its doors on the emblematic Tamarin salt flats. Due to a growing team, we have since had to leave our little gem, and are now based in modern, accessible offices in the Ruisseau Créole Shopping Center.

Moka office is a story of friendship and being in the right place at the right time, all keys to an evident success. The BARNES Moka office opened in August 2022 and has quickly established itself as the leading agency in this central region.
